Certificate in English
Study a Full Time Certificate in English Course at the EF School in Singapore. Courses are available for between 2 and 8 weeks (dependant on visa status) – and you get to choose how many lessons per week best suits you.

Course Assessment
On Student Arrival On the 1st day of your course you will be asked to take a 45 minute online English Placement Test. This test is will cover reading, writing, speaking and listening, and will enable EF to evaluate the existing level of English of each student. After this test is completed the results will be reviewed, and each student will be individually allocated to the appropriate class level for their abilities.
During the CourseDuring the course, the student will take a range of ongoing evaluations and tests to assess their level of progress. These will include the following:

• End of Level Tests
• iLab & Progress Tests
On course completion All students will complete a final test prior to their departure. On completion of this test, each student will receive a certificate of completion with EF on their final day, stating their current level of English and a summary of their current level of English abilities. Students should be reminded before their departure, and encouraged to continue to use EF’s Efekta™ online course material online for 3 months after course completion.

EFCELT ExamsEF and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations have developed the EF Cambridge English Level Test (EFCELT). As part of EF’s Efekta™ System, it is a groundbreaking test of language ability and level assessment. EFCELT is aligned with international standards and to the Common European Framework of Reference. Students who have studied at the school for 4 weeks or more are encouraged to take the EFCELT but this exam is only run on particular dates and is by appointment, not on demand. Without exception, any student who has not achieved a 90% attendance record is not eligible to receive an EFCELT certificate.
Entry RequirementsValid Passport and IELTS 0.5 minimum.
Graduation Requirements
Minimum 90% attendance at classes and completion of final English test.
Student / Teacher Ratios
Maximum 17 students in any class with an average class size of 8 – 10 students.
